IMU with IMS 18 subsystem camera inspection
On the mechatronic unit, there is a workpiece carrier with a fully assembled product (either a block consisting of upper and lower part and bolts, or a painted car consisting of chassis, circuit board, and body). The camera inspection is carried out using an industrial camera from P+F and enables, among other things, checks for colors, shapes, and dimensions. Communication between the IMU (PLC) and the camera takes place via digital I/Os and Profinet. After the inspection process is completed, the loaded workpiece carrier moves to the end of the conveyor belt, where it is taken over by the next unit.
