Data transmission via RFID

Data transmission via RFID

With a classic circular key without electronic elements, the static data for vehicle identification (e.g. chassis number) had to be manually transferred from the vehicle documents to the service systems during vehicle acceptance and order creation. Dynamic data (e.g. mileage) could only be determined directly on the vehicle. This process is more time-consuming and errors cannot be ruled out. Modern radio keys with RFID technology therefore offer the possibility of storing static and dynamic vehicle parameters and making them available to service personnel via a read-out device. In this way, data such as date, time of last storage, kilometre reading, wear data (brake lining), fill levels (washer fluid, coolant, brake fluid) and the specific service requirement can be retrieved digitally.

The training system starts at exactly this point and explains how RFID technology works. In the process, the trainee programs corresponding RFID tags in order to subsequently understand the communication between the individual elements in detail. The accompanying e-learning course offers all theoretical content in a format suitable for the target group and also guides the trainee through the numerous practical exercises.
