EDT 34-3 Positioning with synchronous servo drives 300W

Today, servo drives are generally understood to be highly dynamic three-phase drives. Servo drives mainly perform positioning tasks in machine tools, handling equipment or robots. However, they are also increasingly found in printing machines, transport systems and cutting equipment
where precise positioning or angular synchronization is required. Here, the servo inverter, motor with encoder and the mechanical transmission elements form a closely linked system whose components must be considered as a unit.

Training objectives:

  • Computer-aided commissioning and parameterization of a servo drive with linear axis
  • Positioning and sequence control
  • Setting parameters of the position controller and speed controller using industrial-type parameter setting software
  • Referential travel function
  • Investigating the effects of various controller settings
