Item No.: LM9712

CNC lathe with professional software

The CNC lathe can be used in both conventional and CNC mode. The equipment included is as follows:

  • Triple clamp chuck , 100 mm diameter with lathe and drill clamps
  • MK2 live (revolving) centre
  • Hardened prismatic cast bed
  • Tailstock with quick adjustment
  • Drive power, 1.4 k W, 230 V, 50 Hz
  • Spindle speed 30 - 2300 rpm
  • Main spindle opening, 20 mm diam.
  • Interchangeable wheel set for cutting threads for metric (0.4-4.0 mm) and imperial (10-32 G/") screws
  • Reversing gearbox for left-handed or right-handed threads
  • 2 Automatic carriage/spindle drives
  • Bit width 600 mm – bit height 135 mm
  • Connecting lead between PC and controller
  • Control unit with built-in controls and feed motors
  • Ball bearing spindle for both axes, including guide spindle cover, allowing for very high gradient and positioning accuracy
  • Machine safety cabin with integrated coolant system and control cabinet with controls for the machine. The safety cabin is designed to prevent accidents.
  • Automatic 8-way tool changer:
  • The tool changer allows tool bits to be interchanged automatically during operation in CNC mode:
  • For 4 outside-acting tools of 10x10-mm cross section
  • For 4 inside-acting tool bits with locating bore of 16 mm diameter

Professional lathe software:

The supplied professional lathe software makes it possible to go from design of a product to the finished piece in the simplest of fashions. Even complex contours can be transferred to the CNC machine for processing from any drawing in DXF or HPGL format with the aid of simple and easy-to-use software. In addition, users can directly create drawings using the software itself or work on the piece can be programmed using G and M codes. The software makes automated manufacture possible using the tool changer as well as allowing cutting of threads in CNC mode, the use of an electronic manual control dial and high carriage speeds.
Functionality:

  • Programming as per DIN 66025 using G and M codes plus graphic programming
  • Graphic simulation of process with a representation of the tool bit
  • Automatic CNC programming
  • Manual control
  • Dialog-oriented user interface
  • Data import from DXF, CAD, HPGL, STL files with conversion into operable programs
  • Entry of technical data
  • Creation of contours using an integrated CAD module allowing programming of dimensions
  • Machine-independent programming: CNC programs can be created on various PCs without the CNC lathe being connected, i.e. while the lathe is being used to work on one piece, new programs can be being created on another PC.
  • To write the programs and control the CNC lathe, a PC is needed (not included).
  • Dimensions: 490 x 1215 x 500 mm³ (HxWxD)
  • Weight: 240 kg
