On their way to becoming experts for “High Voltage Systems and Technology”
The electromobility sector has revolutionized people’s mobility and at the same time challenged the automotive vocational training and education sector to come up with ways to make the new technology understandable. With the subject of “High-voltage systems and technology” training and education is embarking on unexplored territory. How can the student be guaranteed the optimum training?
This is where the new training system “High Voltage and Air-conditioning Trainer” from Lucas-Nuelle’s CarTrain series comes in ready to go to work. For the first time, we have the power train and the air-conditioning system integrated into a single training system as part of the high-voltage system. The subdivision of the system provides a realistic look inside the way electric motors are controlled and inside the integrated safety systems (pilot line, insulation monitors) of an intrinsically safe motor vehicle. Students and trainees can also use real components to practice isolating the HV system.
Furthermore, fully functional HV air-conditioning units permit virtually every kind of service and diagnostic type of work to be conducted on a real system. “However, unlike a real motor vehicle, here the students can enjoy the luxury of being able to carry out measurements and tests in a safe experimenting environment”, says Christian Klingler, Product Manager for the area of automotive engineering at Lucas-Nuelle. “And all this with a “High Voltage and Air-conditioning Trainer” course with multimedia course content adapted to meet the new training and education directives providing for a truly motivating learning environment.”
