The RCD panel demonstrates the design and operation of a variety of RCDs and logical ways of connecting them up. The RCD panel allows teaching of the following aspects:

• RCDs in TN or TT systems
• Measurement and evaluation of tripping levels (time, leakage current)
• Effect of variable resistances (R_loop, R_E) on tripping levels
• Differences between RCDs of types A and B
• Trigger levels for type B RCDs
• Investigation of selectivity in RCDs connected in series
• Measurement of leakage current with AC, pulsating DC and ordinary DC fault current
