Instructions are provided in the form of an Interactive Lab Assistant course. This multimedia course goes step-by-step through the topic of PLC programming. Students are introduced in steps to PLC programming, from the simple operation of a conveyor belt on to complex sequence control systems. The projects are made simple to understand thanks to graphic illustrations and animations.
The models are shown in animated form on a touch panel and are controlled via the digital I/O of the PLC system to which they are connected. As for genuine models, it is possible to receive the signals from sensors which can then be used for processing in a step sequence. The models are already full programmed as supplied.
Projects included:
	- Transport crane (step sequence programming for advanced students)

	- Road works traffics lights (animated vehicles respond automatically to the state of the traffic lights)

	- Container filling plant (process automation of a system with three tanks)

	- Conveyor belt (introduction to step sequence programming with plenty of exercises)

	- Three-storey lift (state machine and step sequence programming)

	- Star-delta starting circuit (timer programming)

	- Dual 7-segment display (programming of data blocks)

	- Automatic room temperature control (use of a closed-loop control module)

	- Course duration: approx. 22 h

Special features:
	- Questions with feedback and evaluation software for assessment of knowledge

	- Printable document so that the experiment instructions and solutions can be printed out easily

	- Labsoft browser, course software and TIA portal project

Minimum requirements:
