Halogen-metal vapour lamps represent a development of mercury-vapour, high-pressure lamps. The addition of halogen bonds with various metals has improved features in all respects. Halogen-metal vapour lamps output more light and have improved colour reproduction features. Apart from halogen-metal vapour lamps, sodium vapour lamps are also used. The two types are compared by means of this module.
